TERRIFIC TEACHERS/SUPER        STAFF MEMBERSHIP AWARD

There would be no PTA without Teachers so please actively recruit your Teachers and School Staff as members to keep the "T" in PTA

To receive the Terrific Teachers/Super Staff award digital badge you must exceed 75% of your "Number of School Employees".

Help your Region come out on top in this month's region contest. Contact your Region Membership Chair for more details.
Monthly To-Do List
         OCTOBER
  • Ask all Teachers and Staff to join
  • Update " Number of Employees" on your Unit Data page - required to qualify for Teacher/Staff award 
  • Complete the MemberHub Checklist
  • Email your online store link to all past members and ask them to join your PTA (use the people tab to send a quick message)
  • Pay State/National dues for all members who have joined to date by October 31
     NOVEMBER
  • Gather marketing materials to promote membership to Students next month
  • Be prepared to upgrade your store to the new Store 2.0 version by December 15.

SUFFOLK REGION

Julie Cannistra - Suffolk Region Membership Chair

Welcome to fall! I hope this finds everyone healthy and well as we navigate our way through this different school year. 

This is my third and final year as the Region Membership Chair (RMC) and I am looking forward to growing our membership in new ways.  PTA YOUR WAY is about how YOU PTA.  For me, having a child with special needs, it is all about advocacy and sharing as much information with my membership as possible.  How do you PTA?  

Bayview PTA in West Islip is doing amazing things this year to promote membership with 266 members so far!  Bayview recently created a mascot named Wesli.  He attends all their PTA events and is beloved by the students and faculty alike.  Their membership drive this year gave all families a Wesli magnet if you joined by a certain time and you were also entered into a contest they ran.  Great job Bayview getting families engaged and your membership up!

Half Hollow Hills HS East PTA is our other Suffolk Region superstar with 367 members!

...Anticipating the challenges this year would bring, they prepared early to meet their growth goal of 10%... Their PTA president said “membership is so important to us because it grows our Hills East PTSA Community and strengthens our unit. We work hard to advocate for our families and faculty and we appreciate their continued support.”
